1 Jn 3:16 Hereby perceive we the love of God, because he laid down his life for us: and we ought to lay down our lives for the brethren.
We know that God loves us because Jesus gave His life for us. As God’s children, we are to love one another. The standard for our depth of love for one another is Jesus love for us. We are challenged that our love for one another should be such that we would give our life for each other. That is a high standard indeed! Our goal must be to live our life demonstrating our love for one another, behaving as love behaves. May our love for one another be real!
